Matrix cameraRotation = Matrix.CreateRotationX(cameraAngles.X) * Matrix.CreateRotationZ(cameraRotation.Z);
That last variable should be "cameraAngles.Z," not cameraRotation.
Here's one that people might not have noticed, though: You say to use this line at the end of your pixel shader:
|Output.Color *= saturate(lightingFactor + xAmbient);|
That seems like a typo; you already included xAmbient when you initially set lightingFactor.
Great tutorials -- I especially liked both Terrain and HLSL ones. (The flight sim was cool, but I'm a complete sucker for shaders.)
