| | Imports Microsoft.DirectX
Imports Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D
those 2 line have an error,
" the space of the names or the type specified in the import "Microsoft.Directx" do not have any pubblic member or it is not defined "
Could it depend on directx version?
In the "add reference" I have foud directx7 and 8 but not 9.
Is it the problem?
Somebody could help me?
Thank

| | While this reply is a year after the post, I'll add it in case it helps anyone...
In order to reference the DirectX 9.0c libraries, you need to first download and install the associated SDK.
You can find the setup program here:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=21416
Note: this link works at the time of my post... if it does not when you try it, just Google "DirectX 9.0c SDK download" and you should get a number of valid links.
Once you have this installed, you will need to add a reference to the DirectX and DirectX3D dlls. You can find them at (assuming a standard install) C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETManaged DirectXv9.02.2904
Remember that you need to use the "Browse" tab when adding the reference.
Good luck all... | |

| | I just noticed that the blog removed my backslashes, so let me restate the directory in which you will find the dll files:
C:~Windows~Microsoft.NET~Managed DirectX~v9.02.2904
Substitute the tilde (~) symbol with a backslash and you will be in business :) | |
